Hola Familia!! Monday, April 15, 2014
I am here in Mexico :) I got here
yesterday at about 6 30pm, and our Mission President picked us up. You want to
hear about my stop in Hermosillo? I will tell you about my stop in Hermosillo. We
had to get off there so they could verify our papers and go through immigration
stuff. We were so close to NOT getting back on the plane to Culiacan. After
they checked our visas, checked our bags, they called our names about 10 times
to get on the plane. Here we were in this tiny little airport and had no idea
where anything was. Pero we made it!
And then we got off the plane in Culiacán, got our bags and then, ´now what???´ entonces we walked out and Hermana Wadell saw President Velez and his wife first.
Then they drove us to a restaurant. But they played a joke on us, because across the street from the real restaurant, was a street vendor, which was the only thing we saw, and I was un poco confused because they were selling hamburgers and hot dogs. “Are you sure you want us to eat...here?” Then as we walked up to it, President Velez told us to walk across the street. After that they took us to a pretty nice hotel.
Anyway...first area- MAZATLÁN!!!! And guess what. I´m in a trio otra vez!! Both Mexican, perfect Spanish. Un poco inglés! They actually want me to help them with their English. They are both really nice and patient with me.
I spent the first half of the day in the mission office filling out papers, talking to the president and his wife, getting my picture taken and stuff. And then one of my companions met me - Hermana Bobadilla. We took a 3 hour bus ride here, where Hermana Navarrete was waiting for us. And then we took our stuff to the apartment and then went shopping and now estoy aqui!!
Entonces... sí. Also, don´t judge my
typing. The keyboard es un poco diferente aqui. Y todas personas español...by
the way. In case you didn´t know. And I don´t speak Spanish...yet. So that´s
fun. Pero I think I´ll learn pretty fast.
Yo no sé que else to write. You´ll hear
from próximo lunes!! Unless you reply to this in the next 15ish
minutos...
Have a good week!!
-Hermana Daniels
Also, it´s really weird not asking
for water. Got to get used to that! divertida!
And it´s humid here!! agh!! es muy diferente. Me gusta...sort of. Pero necesito get used to that tambien. At least my skin doesn´t crack everywhere :D

And since you´re not replying - My
guess is that you´re at a movie :D And since I still have a bit of time, I´m
just going to fill you in on a bunch of random information!
It´s the same time zone as Utah. The traffic here is kinda funny. Cars just do what they want. They don´t slow
down for people. And they go around slower cars if possible in anyway. And
people cross the street whenever there´s a gap.
Lets see... At the mission office
they gave about a million and 1/2 papers, manuals, important stuff. And since
I´m the junior companion I´m in charge of the money!! Yay!! hahahahah we get
$1800 a month...In pesos. Transferring over to that will be interesting.
AAaaannndd....I can´t think of anything else to say. People are really nice here.
I really like my mission president and his wife. Ellos son muy nice and welcoming.

Also, the food is really good. I
think you have no idea how good it is not to eat cafeteria food. I´m excited to
eat real food :)
Uhm. Sí. I hope your movie was good
:D. Actually, I guess you could be outside working
hard!
Have a good week!!
-Hermana Daniels otra vez
