Buenas Tardes! Monday,

Well. This week...it was good! Why?
We'll see if I can remember :D
We've been teaching a new
investigator named Pedro Antonio. Nobody in his family wants to listen but him.
And he learns REALLY slowly. Not that that's bad. We just have to teach a
little differently with him. He's reading and praying and he wants to learn!
The problem is he won't go to church. He's about 65 years old and works all
night, gets home and sleeps from 5am - 12am, or something like that. A schedule
not so fun, and church is at 11:00. We taught him how important church was, and
promised him he would get enough rest if he went to church. He didn't come. :(
We'll see what happens this week.
This week we started teaching
Lupita. She's an amazing woman! She knows a lot about the bible and knows more
or less what a prophet is and she has a sincere desire to learn. I love finding
people like her, that actually read when they say they will!
Yesterday we found a family -
actually a part-member family. We think. The Mom, Marisela, says she was
baptized at 8 years old. They have had a really hard time with their situation
and really want to find peace and be able to endure trials. It's amazing how
God prepares people to hear the gospel. No wonder people say "find the
people that are already ready." They accepted baptism and I really think
they will progress and follow through.
This morning we played
"Futbol" with some of the youth investigators that we have.
On the right is Alexis, who is
already a member, but his family is inactive, although He comes to church every
single Sunday. He's a fantastic example to his family. Next to him is
Julio and his little sister Fernanda. We're teaching their parents as well and
all is going well with them! Also, a family "escogida" (choice) and
ready to hear the gospel. Next to Fernanda is my wonderful companion,
Hermana Bobadilla. Gotta love her.
Then, Jasive and Dani. Also, investigators
and have a baptism date for August 9th!! Whoot! Next to me is their friend,
Nerehyda, a member and also a great example for her friends.
(And in case you were wondering, our
faces are like that because we told them it was a "funny" picture but
apparently nobody got the message.)
Anyway!! I love the people
here!!
Aaand...oh yeah, Service, even if
you don't want it! We always ask people if we can help them sweep, because
people are always sweeping garbage or leaves, but always the answer "no ya
termino! Gracias!" When really they're not finished. But! We carried
around a broom all day Saturday so we could actually help. And it worked! I'm
pretty sure we'll keep doing it.
Armed with a broom and umbrella, who
can say no our message? Hahaha :D
And by the way, if you want, when
you catch up with your weeds, you can come help me weed in the back of our
house. That's right. We have weeds in our backyard! ugh! I came on a mission to
escape weeding, and this is what I get!? hahaha es broma. I'm kidding. But
really. They need to find somewhere else to grow.
That's pretty much all I have to say
for today, but have an awesome week!!
Stay strong, and always trust in the
Lord :)
Lots and lots and lots and lots of
Love,
Hermana Daniels
Thanks for all things!! Say hi to
everybody for me!!
Make sure you take time to relax! (But
not too much ;)
