And it came to pass….

And it came to pass….                                                                     September 29, 2014

And it came to pass that in the 27th day of the 9th month of the year 2014 we did not have a baptism, as we had therefore planned. For behold, the Hermana Lucia had decided in the same day of the baptism that she was not worthy of baptism in account to her unwillingness to forgive some people in her work. It is, indeed, a situation complicated and unusual, but Lucia is of great worth and truth. She truly has a desire to do the will of God, and shall be baptized sometime in the future.

But behold, in the same day that we had planned for the baptism, was the day of General Conference for Women. And it came to pass that another missionary of the land of the United States did ask the Stake President if we could watch this conference in the English language, the language of my people. Therefore Hermana Robinson and I did watch the conference the English language. And it was conference much needed and will be remembered by all the hearts of those that did watch it. And it so happened that I did take notes, but did leave them in a place where I can not read them in this moment. And ye shall have to wait for one more week for those marvelous and wise notes which I did write.

And it came to pass that in the 28th day of the 9th month of the year 2014 we received a call from our district leader. In this call we received the information that I, Hermana Daniels, should go to Culiacan, Mexico in the Ward of Guadalupe. Therefore, I, Hermana Daniels, also received a new companion, who is called Hermana Morales. Hermana Morales is of normal stature about my height and she is a missionary of great valor. Wherefore, Hermana Hernandez, the companion whom I had in Villa Verde, stayed in this ward and shall recieve a new companion. And I, Hermana Daniels, shall miss Hermana Hernandez, for a have learned much from her.

But behold, am in a new area and with a new companion, and we shall see much progression and much baptism in the coming 6 weeks among the people of Culiacan of the ward of Guadalupe. And I do have something to say concerning the language, "for I do not boast in mine own strength, but in the strength of the Lord", for I have to come to understand and speak the language much better. But behold, the accent in Culiacan is much faster and different than in Mazatlan. Therefore, I have much to learn, but it shall come according to my faith and diligence.

And it came to pass that, I, Hermana Daniels, do miss the cool weather of autumn. For behold, it is hot here, and will continue to be hot for the duration of the season. And now behold, I do not know of the rains in Culiacan, but I do know in the land of Mazatlan that in the months of July, August and September that it does rain when it gets extremely hot. More or less every two weeks there is a rainstorm for a day or two.

And it came to pass, that in the night before my departure to the land of Culiacan, I did take many photos of the people which I had come to know and love and one day I shall return one day in the future.

And as I end this letter to my family, friends and posterity, I desire to share actual scripture from the book of Helaman in the chapter 3 verse 35. And I did realize that it is the favored verse of My father, David, who is very wise in the things of the Lord. Wherefore, I would that ye shall do as the scripture advises, and yield your hearts unto the Lord, your God and he shall help you in whatsoever thing ye shall stand in need.

And I do write these words with much love and gratitude to those that have supported me among this time.

Hermana Daniels
