Dear Family, 12/22/14
Well, I don't know if you'll get a
real letter from me this week, because we had the Christmas party for all of
the missionaries in Culiacan today, so I don't have much time to write. But!!
I will be calling you the 25th about
4:00 more or less :) It's more or less, because we were invited to eat with the
family - normally at 2:00 and then after, I and possibly my companion will
call. I don't know who will go first, or what...sorry...it's kind of a weird
situation.
I did get your packages!! Thanks a
ton. I still haven't opened it.
Hasta Jueves!

La cena navideña
Well, we had a Christmas dinner
today, and it was pretty good. I sang in a quartet (I don't
really know what it's called) And I played the piano for our zone when we
sang Away in a Manger.
You know what's dumb? Me getting
sick. Because I'm loving the weather right now. It's pretty nice during the day
- sometimes a bit warm, but at night it gets chilly, and I don't really feel
the cold. Until I go to bed. And we don't have very big blankets, ahaha.
So...here I go...trying to battle "la gripa" with all of those
vitamins and stuff. And socks. And wáter. And extra pajamas.
Anyway...hahah it was a rather
strange week with transfers a week early, and we didn't find anybody in
their houses, even (or maybe especially) when we put appointments. But...the
work goes on :)
In this season of
Christmas...there's no snow here. But! Everybody knows what it's about, but
sometimes we just forget. Really, it's about the birth of our Salvador...I mean
Savior haha. And really let it effect our lives. Hermana Velez - the wife of
the Misión President shared a quote with us today:
“The secret to Christmas is not the
things we do at Christmas time, but the Christmas things we do all year long.”
Gotta remember that in the middle of
the year :)
Have a great week!!
Hermana Daniels
