Not TOO many changes 12/15/14

Hola Familia y amigos :)                                                             Monday, December 15, 2014

Not too many changes, but my companion went to another area to be the sister training leader, and now I have Hermana Moya for my new companion!! She is a really good missionary, and this is actually her last transfer. Ah, I'm going to "kill her"!!

This week was rather odd, but really good :)

Friday we sang in "forum" which is a popular mall here in Culiacan. All of the missionaries in Culiacan came and we sang some Christmas hymns. I was set up to sing a duet with Hermana Waddell (my companion in the MTC) but there was way too much noise, and no microphones, so all of the duets and solos were cut out. But it was pretty fun. Been a while since I've sang in a good choir.

This week, thanks to "He is the Gift" we found a really awesome couple that are now new investigators - Daniel and Saraí. It's kind of funny, considering my name. They have a 5 month old baby, and are pretty interested :) I'm super excited for them.

We also found another family, but so far we've only taught the Mom, Monica. She is also interested; we just need to get the rest of her family to listen.

For those of you who don't know, December 12th is "Día de Guadalupe." We live pretty close to a very prestigious Catholic church, so everybody climbed up the stairs, ate food, sold food, sang, repeated stuff, sang, sang more, and sang pretty much all night. We could hear all of it from our house. So...that's a tradition here in Mexico I think I'll bring to Utah ;D

It's really...awe-some to see the change that happens in one’s self. I don't know if other will people see me differently, but I feel like I have changed SO much. Grown, "un montón" and you know, it's all thanks to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I just want you all to know that I have gained a huge testimony of the atonement, and faith. I know I still have so much more to learn (especially humility, I think), but that's what this life is for.

I love you all and hope you have an awesome week!! Remember to #watchthegift #sharethegift #youhavetousetwittertounderstand :) no but really, share the "He is the Gift"

Mucho Amor,
Hermana Daniels

I think it (Phone call from Sarah) will be around 2:00 in the afternoon more or less. I need to know your skype account name so I can call you :)
Dad, do you still have that French music???

Mateo,
Matthew, did you know your name is "Mateo" in Spanish? Can I call you that when I get back? Or do you like to be called "Matt" now?

The Tomateros are pretty good, then? I've been told that they win a lot of their games.

How's online school going? Seminary?  Tell all of the teachers I say hi :)

Love you bro!

Hermana Daniels

P.S. I'm curious, there's only one pair of missionaries in the stake? And they're sister missionaries? How do they decide what ward to go to?

Pictures of Sarah with companions and singing at the mall….
