Hectic Sunday‏ 11/24/14

Helloooo everybody :)                                                                                          11/24/14

Merry Thanksgiving this week :) eat lots of turkey, because I'm pretty sure I won't have some  - but who knows :) Turkey never really was my favorite, though.

This week...was rather interesting. We worked really hard, and lots of people said they would come to church. Not everybody came, but let me tell you what happened Sunday.

We went to pick up a family, but only the Daughter - Flor, wanted to come. So we arrived with her, and when we get there, Kai was there!! Kai is a Japanese Soccer player that came to Mexico to play. He lives with the bishop's family. He had never come before, so that was awesome. So we had Flor, and Kai, and in the middle of sacrament meeting, Flor's Dad and brother arrive to take her, but she didn't want to go. So the Elders in the ward went out and talked to him, and right then walked in Juan. Juan is an eternal investigator. Says he wants to learn, but really doesn't put effort into reading. Also smokes and eats horribly - but he is getting better. We don't teach him anymore, but always invite him to church. So he came, but only because we told him to or something like that. Well...maybe one day he'll get baptized.

So! Sacrament meeting ends, and there was too much confusion with Flor and Kai and Juan and trying to introduce them to members, but finally we end up in a class with 3 Kai and Flor and another youth member. The class was good, but Flor's Dad came again and she had to leave. So then we only had Kai. It was pretty funny, but then after the class, walks into the church Fansisco with his Daughter!! What? Whe...okay...esta bien. But let me remind you exactly who is Fransisco. He's also an eternal investigador that likes to hear about the bible...and only the bible. But he likes it when we visit...yeah we don't visit him anymore, but he came to Stake Conference 3 weeks ago, and his daughter behaved pretty badly - running around the church the whole time, and Fransisco in the meeting.

Well! He came again! So his daughter was all upset, but we invited Fransisco into the Preisthood, with the rest of he men. And Paula (his daughter) would not stop running around. " I want my Dad! Where's my Dad!?) Yelling in the church, and stuff. In the end we all ended up in the primary with Fransisco sitting there, and Paula coloring. And then they just left...without saying goodbye...

But wait! I'm not done yet! Then! we had to have choir practice for the Christmas choir, and Chayito was not happy because I hadn't practiced the songs on the piano, because I don't have a ton of time to do that, but it was ok.

But THEN! The next ward at 12:00 had asked me to play for the Primary Program!!! Oh...well...sure...that's..fine! Yeah :) It turned out okay, but the Primary had only practiced one day before and I hadn't practiced the songs too much.

I hope that no other ward asks me to play for them, because I'm pretty sure I make it worse! hahaha
And that was Sunday!!!

It was actually a good week with lots of learning experiences. We had an AWESOME multi-zone conference. The worst part, though, is when you leave those meetings and have SO many things to improve on. AAahhh!! Where do I start? But it was good. The Mission president had asked my companion and me to explain the restoration of the gospel in 5 minutes. I almost died!! But it was okay.

And today I got to eat Woman Bread!! Actually it's "pan de mujer". I have no idea why they call it that but it's really, really good.

And my companion is beckoning me to get off.  Have an awesome week!!

Love you all!!
Thanks for everything :)

 About the pineapple:
Juan always gives random fruit and stuff. So, last night he suddenly brings out this pineapple! And I wanted a photo, but he wouldn't wait, and just started cutting it! So...that's what's up with the pineapple. And his smile...Let's just say he doesn't like to be told what to do, so when we say "smile" of course, he doesn't smile! but he's a good guy, just a bit into his habits.
