"TieneDengue?!?!" 11/10/14

This week was rather unproductive, thanks to my really sweet-tasting blood that the Mosquitoes love to eat so much.
Wednesday I starting feeling really bad in the afternoon, but figured I was just dehydrated and I'd feel better after lunch! So we went to lunch, the Muñoz family made some awesome hamburgers, and I started feeling cold. Great. After that we had another appointment, then went home to rest. I was pretty miserable, with a fever and a headache. So!
Thursday morning we went to the doctor aaand, "tiene dengue" oh...what's that mean? I have dengue. I've never heard of that disease in my life, but I'm learning lots on the mission :D Apparently it's a virus contracted by *dun dun dun* mosquitos!! So he sent me away with a prescription and a week to rest in bed. NOOooo. yuck. So the last 4 days haven't been all too exciting.
But we had to call quite a few people to let them know and stuff and almost every time: "tiene dengue?!" it reminded me of the old time murder movies. So. Now, I'm still recovering, but I feel way better. I just itch...everywhere.
But! There's a story within this story. Last Sunday I had been practicing the piano to play for the primary program. I did not really know these songs very well! But I told the primary president I could do it. Then afterward, she told me I didn't need to because another sister would. Ah, awesome. Perfect :) Long story short, We ate with the same sister and she asked me to play after all. This was all before I got sick.
After I got sick I still went to a rehearsal, felt pretty horrible, especially because I could play the baptism song. That song is really hard when you don't have time to learn it! In the end I told them I couldn't do it. But! in the end, the bishop came by for us in his car anyway. I played, messed up a lot.  And then he took us back.
Mom, I finally know how you feel, when somebody asks you to play last minute - only when you play nobody hears you mess up :D

Anyway! That's my longish, slightly boring story for the week. Hahaha sorry if you actually read it all.

I have to be honest though, being sick isn't all that fun, but I've learned lots - from reading lots- but especially about patience, and gratitude and the example of Charity from my companion! She is SO amazing! She did everything and more that I asked her because they wouldn't let me get up. Glad I get her for another transfer :) Just remember that there's a lesson to be learned in every situation. Don't try to learn things that YOU want to learn, but things that Lord would have you learn. :)

Have an awesome week :)
