Dear People in the United States of
America that I love,
Bible Bashing is a really bad idea.
And so I'm really glad that I didn't. But man! We had such a weird experience
the other day...hahaha We arrive at the
house of an investigator and - what do ya know, missionaries from the Church of
the Mom were there! And they invited us in, so...we went in and they started
asking us questions, and we starting answering. Long story short, we shared a
scripture about the nature of God, and they did not agree with that. So, we
shared James 1:5 and invited them to pray about it, and we left.
We were a little rattled, but we
hadn't done anything wrong. But the worst part was when we went the next day to
her house; the investigator asked us why we didn't answer all of the questions
and why we didn't know anything. So, we explained to her that we had left
because we didn't want to fight or contend with each other because it drives
away the spirit. We explained that even if we didn't know every single thing,
that we know that what we share is true, that God loves us, that Jesus Christ
is our Savior and that the Gospel is true. We invited her to keep reading the Book
of Mormon and pray about it.
I realized how important it is to
have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. When we obtain a testimony of the Book
of Mormon, everything else falls into place! I've seen so many experiences this
past couple of weeks, and I know the Book of Mormon can change lives! Not
because of who wrote and not because it's a cool novel. It's because it
testifies of Christ, and more than anything it's what we choose to apply to our
lives.
I'm really grateful to be here in 7
Gotas - it's basically a goldmine of young families :)
I hope you all have an awesome week
:) Always smile and remember that God has something specific reserved for you,
so be worthy of those blessings, and they'll come.
Con Amor,
Hermana Daniels
