This week...this month...this
year...I don't know...it all goes so fast and just kind of jumbled together!!!
I had the privilege of singing in a
small group for Elder Miró and his wife. I learned again, how powerful the
leaders of the church are. They have the spirit and they receive revelation for
us. Whether it be a mission president, or a president for his stake, or a
bishop for his ward, I know they are called of God and we have to remember to
trust in the them. And the most important, the living Prophet!
I was reading in 2 Nephi 2 this
week, and ya know how it talks about Adam and Eve and agency? Well...
14 And now, my sons, I speak unto you these things for your profit and learning; for there is a God, and he hath created all things, both the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are, both things to act and things to be acted upon.
16 Wherefore, the Lord God gave unto man that he should act for himself. Wherefore, man could not act for himself save it should be that he was enticed by the one or the other.
We are all created in the image of
God, and there are things to act, and things to be acted upon. And Heavenly
Father gave us the way to act for ourselves. It just caught my attention how
nobody is going to force us to have a testimony. Nobody can shove the
scriptures down your throat and expect faith to grow! When we act for
ourselves, miracles occur, even in ourselves. And it's something that should never
stop happening.
Saturday I saw that happen. We
visited a referral and it was so funny at first, because they barely let us
share a message. They were prepared to defend their religion because they
thought we were going to convince them or something like that. And at the end
of the lesson, they committed to go to church, even if it meant walking(they're
an older couple). They came and their son also brought their sons. It was
something very powerful, and something they decided to do because they acted on
the faith they had - however big it may be.
I know that not everything I say
makes sense, so if you read all that, felicidades!!
Jajaja Les amo y I hope you all keep
choosing to act and not just let things act upon you.
And always smile :)
Hermana D.
This week was kind of intense! I
forgot to mention last week, that I have a new companion! Hermana Pulupa from
Ecuador.
And Thursday we also had a
multi-zone conference and Elder Miró from the seventy came! It was really a
very powerful meeting.
Shoots of clamatito - tomatoe juice and shrimp and stuff. Oh
and chile...kinda wierd.
Families that I love in
