Helllooo everybody,
Well, as usual, this week was one to
grow, one to learn a ton, and pretty weird, because - as the title says-
lots of missionaries came to get their visas. And our house is really
close to the mission offices, and we also have 5 extra mattresses! So, the first
night, we had 4 missionaries more than normal, they were all supposed to go
home the next day, but the offices were closed or something. So they came for a
second night! Only, with 2 more missionaries. 6 missionaries :D Then, the next
day they left. But SURPRISE! The sister missionaries from the Baja didn't have
a flight until the next day. Anyway, long story short, it was a miracle that we
didn't run out of food :D
We actually found 2 new people this
week, - grandmas, actually. But you know what grandmas have? Kids, and
grandkids. They both have lots of family problems and they're actually
neighbors. It looks like we have a lot of work to do :)
Alejandro is our new investigator
with a baptismal date, and he has a really big desire to learn and wants
salvation. Hopefully he keeps progressing.
Something vital I learned this week
is to follow the spiritual impressions in the FIRST moment. Because if we wait,
we usually don't have enough time to do whatever is we were supposed to do! We
were on our way home the other night and we passed 2 young women sitting down
waiting for the bus, and we passed and 20 feet later my companion asks me, “Did
you feel like we should contact them? I felt like we should have contacted
them. Should we go back?" And of course, we returned, talked with them a
bit, but didn't have enough time because their bus had already gotten there! If
only we had listened the first time! So...Don't be afraid to do things - even
if it seems weird. The spirit is our guide, and if we don't listen, he's not
always going to try to help us if we don't want to listen.
Have a wonderful week :)
