Hello all of my Loved
ones :)
I just want to let
you know that this week was HARD. Haha but very much worth it. So, to start
out, we had a goal for Leydy and Jesus to be baptized May 30th. Leydy, had the
interview the Sunday before, passed and everything was perfect. But Jesus had
only been to 2 Sacrament Meetings(and normally it's 5 Sundays). So that
required the baptism interview to be by President Velez, which was good,
because he had already been in lessons with Jesus. The problem was Jesus's
schedule. Every day we put a time, and every time we had to cancel. Agh!
So...Friday...the day before the baptism at 9:00am we FINALLY had the
interview. Aand...-chun chun chun-....He passed, of course. Leydy and Jesus are
a couple like I've never met. Totally ready and wanting to to baptized. Totally
prepared to keep the commandments, in the end, they want to go to the
temple.
So, Friday after the
interview we prepared everything as fast as we could, because the baptism was
at 11:00 the next day. And everything turned out really well.
And when I saw Leydy
in the water, it was something so special...but then I saw Jesus in the water
and Leydy watching him...that was even more awesome...and then I saw the two
standing the doorway, after leaving the water, and that was something I've
never felt before. Baptizing a family is something that is just
inspiring!! They have changed SO much...and I can't believe that Heavenly
Father let me be an instrument to help.
I don't think I'll
ever be able to learn everything I need to know in the mission, but I know that
through this work God helps us help him. And he trusts us. He knows our
strengths and weaknesses better than us, but I know that when we truly ask for
help he never lets us down.
This week I learned
that patience really is a Christ like virtue that we need to develop.
And...hahaha I'm working on it. That,
and Faith.
Anyway...I had a
really great week :) I love you all and want you to know that this Church is
true and this work is true. He loves more than you can imagine, so live up to
the potential that's in you!
Thank-you for
everything!
